Nicotine and other smoking byproducts are found in the mucus of the cervix and may cause direct cell damage
I was under the impression the byproduct was cotinine, not nicotine. But that's not the issue - nicotine is found in many foods, just as naturally as it is found in tobacco. Is there any work being done to take that confounding factor into consideration?
If I had my way, I would probably eat my weight in tomatoes on a weekly basis - therefore the by product of nicotine, cotinine, is going to show up in my system whether I smoke or not.
Please realize I am not asking specious questions. My questions are sincere. I admit some of my first comments to you were a bit on the nasty side, but I have since realized that you are not one of "them" (meaning the nico-nasties).
You appear to be someone willing to discuss the issue without the hyperbole and I would love to sit down and discuss it with you - and should the opportunity arise, I will refrain from smoking in your presence!!!
You're right about that. I didn't want to get too technical in my response. BTW, I didn't find your statements objectionable at all. I always enjoy a good difference of opinion, as long as it's done respectfully and without flames.
