Thank you. While I tend to be quite sympathetic to the Puritan distate for the Pagan holiday myself, I still think it is a wonderful time of the year and enjoy celebrating it; I think it is not wrong to simply have a holiday......but I won't pretend that it is a religious holiday anymore (not that it ever really was to the point that it should be). But, I love it anyway....I have started playing my Christmas music....:)

While I tend to be quite sympathetic to the Puritan distate for the Pagan holiday myself...Yes, Thomas Hobbes did have a decidedly Puritan slant to his materialist observations and philosophy. I think the body of classical literature that is Leviathan is sorely in need of teaching.
