Voted YES on maintaining ban on Military Base Abortions. (Jun 2000)

Voted YES on banning partial birth abortions. (Oct 1999)

Voted YES on disallowing overseas military abortions. (May 1999)

These are from a search I did on "Frist on the Issues". Doesn't sound very pro-abortion to me.

It turns out I was partially mistaken. After completing my search of his voting record, Frist declares himself as pro-life while supporting abortions in the cases of rape and incest which amount to 2% of all abortions performed. Frist also voted in favor of federal funding for the grisly practice of embryonic stem-cell research which destroys human life. My statements that he was pro-choice stemmed from a few of his earlier votes against the pro-life cause rather than his statements of his position on abortion. That being the case, I am sending this out to everyone I remember that challenged my earlier and largely erroneous statements that Frist was pro-choice which turned out to be largely in error since in fact he is nominally pro-life. Given this new information, Frist would be a better choice than McConnell based on his voting record, but an inferior choice when compared to Nichols, Kyl, Santorum and others who have substantially more conservative voting records.
