Ain't that the truth. The Dems and racial demagogues are loving every second of this sh/t. Now that they know the formula to get Elephants to eat their own kind, they'll be encouraged to dig up anything even remotely "racist" on any elected Republican to see if they can get a repeat performance.
I'm no fan of Lott's, and I've been hoping to see him ousted from the majority leader position for quite some time now. But not for any of the reasons he's been getting vilified for this week, and certainly not under these circumstances. A lot of Republicans are going to be horrified in a few weeks when they step back and see what they've done.
My sentiments exactly. I would never have chosen to defend Lott. I am shocked at the weakness of the Pubbies and the majority on this forum. They are all prisoners of the racist tag snake oil. Just look at the media's upcoming covers. Does any fool think we have anything at all to gain from not making a stand against this perpetual Inquisition about who's racially sensitive enough.
