The president can end this simply by saying he accepts Lott's apology. Not to do so may well mean the president is playing (the wrong) politics with this issue...and he's going to get burned...big time.

But Bush did accept it and it appears not good enough for many, who have their own agendas at work.The agendas you can't do a thing about, but you can sure watch who overreaches ,and who plays it cool.
And the other thing is that we on FR are so out of the loop its lauughable.All this talk is for naught ;-)
