Torie, from what I have read, a heavyweight is not what is required for a leader. I have read time and time again, that Senator's egos are such that they do not want the "brightest light" leading them, they just want somebody who gets along with everybody and can present a good face on tv. I don't know if they will view Santorum thusly, but lack of intellectual credentials has never been a stumbling point in becoming ML.

Ya, but they don't want loose cannons or showboaters (and that is how Santorum started off, and I don't think he is totally off that reservation), and they do want someone who has the smarts to navigate the shoals with the media. As I say, no way. That is Torie's prediction number 2.

By the way, I like Santorum. I really do.
