LOL>.... Yep gotta save that ol' Trent "racist" Lott's butt.... Actually I don't have much use for Lott but I have less use for capitulating to a bunch of race pimps, democrats, feminist, CDC, etc. I prefer that Lott wasn't there but he is and for the time being I'd just like to see him retain his position.

I really believe that the opposition sees this as a way to gain back the Senate at least to a 50/50 arrangement or maybe even the majority.....

As far as EV's projections I don't put much faith in them..... he has come up on the short stick with most of his candidates as far as I can tell... Sort of like the forecasting done by that seer.... crystalk during the LA elections...

While I agree with this statement, you kept its ramifications too simple. They already have someone waiting to make it 50/50; they see this as a way to get that illegitimate "majority" now with Lott's resignation. Failing that, assuming that Lott doesn't take one for the team and go back to the bench, he will be so weakened that even if he ever did have a backbone, he would be left with no choice but to resurrect the power-"sharing" agreement of 2001.

The only monkey wrench in this for the 'Rats is if Lott simply hands the leader's office to someone willing to work with a majority of VP. I'll freely admit that isn't a sure-fire thing, but given Lott's track record in stronger political positions, it's the only option that would allow something positive to get done.
