I don't it matters what Republican Black office holders are saying anyway... In 2000 we got 9 percent of the black vote... does anyone think that by forcing Lott out it will get us anymore than that anyway?

I guess we have to respectfully disagree.

I feel that Lott's remarks have done us great harm and fly in the face of the tone being set by the President on this issue.

Its a double standard and even Blacks know it. Byrd was fourth in line for the Presidency and didn't utter a word in disgust in relation to what he said. But now that's it a Republican we have principles at stake?

I never understood why the Republican party has its "principles" to think about but the Democrat party doesn't.
