Yea, and lawsuits such as the one filed against the tobacco industry by "numerous" Attorney Generals. I don't want to even hear about lawsuits if governments are going to rape business causing loss of jobs while the state builds their general funds at their expense. I think R.J. Reynolds and other tobacco firms should have shut their doors to these lawsuits and let politics suffer the damage. BUT what goes around comes around now various groups are after McDonalds!!

Don't bother arguing...it's happening where i live...i have heard service sector baloney for 20 years now...service sector means $8/hour...i got the willys about a month ago when my company was touting the new plant they opened in Thailand that makes the same chemicals we do...we all know it's a matter of time.

Almost all tech. jobs are non union I thought the subject of this thread is Manufaturing Jobs. If you are talking about low level tech. jobs, I respectfully disagree that these are not unionized. I don't agree that highly skilled tech.(those that require considerable creativity) jobs are migrating over seas(there's always a shortage of this skill in the USA). Proof: Look at who are going to graduate studies in science, engineering, and medicines in US Universities, and stay here to work, they are from Asia, countries that we are losing manufacturing, and low level tech. jobs to.

There's a famous dictum that says that no two countries that both have a McDonalds in them has ever gone to war. What! No McDonalds or KFC in Baghdad? I knew that there had to be more to the story than just oil.

Who is responsible for the loss of tech jobs? Almost all tech jobs are non union. Why are the leaving? Because education and work ethic in the youth of this country sucks, kids would rather be lifetime protesters, whiners, complainers, liberal arts majors, broadcast journalists, womans studies majors, and well as diversity trainers; no one wants to be a software developer or an engineer dude! Too much thinking and hard work involved...thats not kewl!

Perot was one of the most intelligent and wise people in American politics. I voted for him and am pround of it.I agree. He is also a person who was willing to solve problems on his own. He was marginalized and ridiculed by the power cartel because his victory would've represented real representation for average US citizens.
I voted for Perot also. He received a plurality in the town I live in the first time round.

What do you consider love level tech jobs and what do you consider 'considerable creativity'? MSFT, IBM and a host of other companies are moving high-level dev jobs to India and in some cases China. Why? to save money because they can get a programmer for less than $550 USD per month, and I know of no devs that would be willing to work for that in the USA.

What you, and people like you, are reluctant to accept is that if you live in a nation and culture that is corrupt and full of superstition so that if there arbitrarily aren't enough McDonalds or anything else suitable to fulfill fantasies, it grants you sociological and Marxist right to make war on other nations. You got a problem with that?

boy O boy does this thread have a life of its own !
We started out with a premise (no discussion of the intention behind the article) and now we have what started out as beef stew and has now turned into cioppino sans the kitchen sink.
Back to basics. What creates wealth (and also commerce) is discovering both, what's needed and wanted and delivering both. It doesn't matter where it's produced or where it's delivered. It can be from anywhere to anywhere. It certainly has nothing to do with who has been a US President and who hasn't. If that were true we also need to examine the contribution by the Romans, Greeks, Egyptians and Adam & Eve.
I don't see what's being solved by this discussion, let alone solutions to anything. Does any one posting here have an idea of what their idea is going to solve. I see minutia trumping minutia is all. Guess one just loves an argument.

Who could live on $550 in the US???? no wonder....you could deliver papers and make more than that. I have totally changed my opinion about NAFTA and the global economy...i see unfair dumping all the time since i am working for a global company...too much to explain on here.

Living just miles from Rochester I can tell you it is worse here than it is there..
They have given away the middle class in the name of One world government...
My engineer son has had to leave ..and he is making plans to continue his education so when all the engineering jobs are gone along with steel, autos , textiles etc ..he will eat..
Welcome to the death od America

What it means is that they intend to bring the American working class down to the third world leveA necessity for the Bush New World Order
To: RLK
More like 10X.... I said at least 3X, but you maybe right about the 10X for certain type of work. The Chinese are slaves? We are all slaves to our desires, like eating, clothing, medicines,.... In the USA however, I believe that we have gone far beyond the necessities of life, we as a people have become somewhat greedy, best illustrated by actions of most unionized labor.

If I keep trying, I'm going to get this right.
rulling = ruling.

If your goverment kills you for not doing/saying/living exactly what they say then I would consider the citizens of that goverment slaves. If they are not slaves, then what are the Chinese?
