Thanks for posting this, Tonk, and thank God the Coast Guard was able to rescue those people. It is a dangerous job they do, but there must be a great deal of satisfaction when they can bring endangered sailors back to shore. Their sailboat looks quite torn up......that must have been a VERY harrowing experience for them.

Cheers! What cute little Christmas baby hostesses! I've missed you all and the Finest threads and was just catching up on the charming Gingerbread Houses! What a wonderful season. This past week I was at dinners and Republican functions for three nights, then picked up my parents at the airport on Friday. They'd been in Palm Springs enjoying the sun, which is a good thing because it's raining Christmas cats and dogs here! (As you can imagine, the skiiers are estactic. After a long, warm Indian Summer and dry, crip autumn - they were beside themselves ;) All is well now, with rain drenching our evergreens on the lower elevationsm, and snow covering the higher mountainsides... Tomorrow night I'm taking my poarents to the Nutcracker at a beautiful old theater in Tacoma. Hopw you all have been well and enjoying holiday shopping, cooking, and decorating.

Oh, poor Billie. :-( She's a perfectionist. I know how hard she works to make everything special and perfect. And, to know that she had computer problems and lost some of her hard work just makes me feel awful for her.

I didn't get a chance to read the entire thread, so I didn't get to see all of the lists, but I did see Flyer's holiday pet outfits and Pippin's list of the top ten things to give her liberal coworkers for Christmas. They were all great lists!

and, looking forward to seeing the Pets thread, betcha that'll be a real charmer.

Billie is so creative, I have no doubt she is working her little heart out on it and it will be wonderful. She did some really cute things with our pets last year. :-)
