"What we need now is for loddy and Meekie and wolfie to sing We Three Kinds of Orient Are for the grand finale!" Well, Meekie, while I blew that one nicely, Louie 'kindly' pointing out the Three Kin d s of Orient Are boo-boo, do you wanna play The Little Drummer Boy?
The only requisites are a kettle and couple of chopsticks - few pa-rum-pum-pum-pums and a 'meek' look.
You're Da Man !!

Still have lots to do to make the place look like an old inn. Any ideas?
Lots of bales of hay works for me.

Hay is for the stable - not the inn. ;-)

A beautiful, blessed Sunday morning to you all!
Christmas at the Ahwahnee in Yosemite Valley
The Bracebridge Dinner
"A 17th century English Christmas celebration - The Bracebridge Dinner is a unique Ahwahnee Christmas tradition of grand proportion. Held annually since 1927, the event transforms the Ahwahnee Hotel into a 17th century English manor for a feast of food, song and mirth. The inspiration for this ceremony was Washington Irving's Sketch Book that described Squire Bracebridge and English Christmas traditions of that period."

Very interesting, but at $275 a pop, I'll have to pass this year.
Thanks for the information though. ;-)

LOL! Yes, it is expensive, but worth it (and that price is JUST for the dinner and play......if you want to stay over at the hotel, it's another $175 or so!). But, even at those prices, tickets are in such demand that they have to draw people's reservation requests from a lottery each year. We were able to go several years ago because a friend's daughter worked at Yosemite and was able to pull some strings and get our reservation request drawn. It is a once in a lifetime experience......at that price it would have to be! LOL.
An interesting note; Ansel Adams played a big part for many years in the planning of the production. It was one of his pet projects each year in his beloved Yosemite Valley.

Good morning!
At
this site, they have great links to Christmas carol lyrics and all kinds of Christmas projects.
In particular, they link to the
NORAD site for tracking santa.

Yawn :) ... Morning all! The Bracebridge dinner must be an unforgettable celebration, Mama_Bear! Thanks for sharing some of its history with us. And I loved all the sunrise photos as well - amazing images. Just saying hello here and then I need to get ready for church. After our "squall" last night the morning has blue sky and sunshine - and I'd like to get out of the house before the next downpour! lol
Good morning to FR's Finest!
