I am happy to report that my local Genovese/Eckerd drug store had a wide variety of boxed Christmas cards this year. In years past it was virtually impossible to find boxed cards that didn't have a "Seasons Greetings" or "Happy Holidays" message. But this year at least half of the available cards showed a Nativity scene, quoted a Bible verse, or at the very least said "Merry Christmas." In fact, I had a hard time choosing!

Nothing irritates me more this time of year than the generic use of the word "holiday." I almost threw my radio out the window when I heard a commercial for some home products store in which the actors were merrily burbling about how this particular store made it easy for them to buy their children's "holiday gift." I could almost hear my late father roaring, "WHICH HOLIDAY? ARBOR DAY???" LOL

Sounds like you had a good choice. Things are starting to get scary - teachers not being able to mention Christmas, etc. We've got to do what we can to fight it!!
