The students, teachers and parents should all buy this idiot Christmas cards that say "Merry Christmas" and send them to the school.

""Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ..." Don't teachers have to learn to read?"
You mean like reading the calendar which shows our national holidays? Which one of the "winter festivals" is a national holiday?

Is this a great country, or what?
Where else on earth do the natives discard their traditions so as to not offend the more fragile sensitivities than their own, sensitivities of immigrants (both legal and illegal) and invaders alike?
It's time to draw a line in the sand of compromise and buttkissin, and take no prisoners from those who choose to ignore that line.

Gee, I wonder if "ramadon" is another word you can't say in school?

ALL RIGHT!! Now let's refuse to acknowledge the month of January which is named after a God of a pagan religion! And while we're at it, pehaps we should change the numbers of the years which were based (correctly or not) on the birth of you-know-who....

And Moon's day, Tyr's day, Wodan's day, Thor's day, Frey's day, Saturn's day, Sun's day, etc...

And so the pendulum swings a little further into lunacy before it prepares to swing back.
At least, I HOPE it swings back...

Funny how the very people who benefited most from the Founding Father's Christian "charity" of the acceptance of ALL faiths, now believe restriction is the best policy regarding Christianity -- now that
they wield power in certain areas of America..
There is NO doubt -- had our Founding Fathers been of any other faith other than Protestantism, America would have not survived to it's eventual greatness...
However, we are a timebomb ticking way...

If it were me, I'd ask for this directive to be put in writing. I doubt that even this principal is dumb enough to do that, so the teacher could refuse to honor an unwritten policy.

Wish the kids a Merry Jesus' Birthday..
At least you won't be saying Christmas.

I'll bet taking the Lord's name in vain is permissible. Not by anyone that matters.

I HOPE it swings back... It might not. Might be past time for retirement village.

Schools are absolutely allowed to observe holidays and to reference the existence, date of, and cultural activities associated with the holiday." Mention, refer to, but NOT "observe."

It's time to draw a line in the sand of compromise and buttkissin, and take no prisoners from those who choose to ignore that line. It's coming, and I think that things have progressed to a point where it's too late to do a damn thing about.
They started it, and we will finish it.

PC run amok.
Next thing you know, there's a law that states you can't say "Merry Christmas" if you're a federal worker in a federal building. So, when I go into a federal building and my Jewish relatives say "Merry Christmas" to me and my wife, does that mean they should be arrested?
Some factions in this country are absolutely absurd, bordering on dangerous.

"don't teachers have to learn to read?"
Only for their PhD. Then they must show 2d grade proficiency.
Most elem. and second. teachers don't have even a Masters. They are taught by indoctrination and rote - repetition until PC is memorized. All this PC "rote" causes brain clog and does not allow any data analysis.
Could the clones have landed among us when we weren't looking?
