Yes, I can recall an occasion where my fears were misplaced.

Regarding the definition of stalking, it's defined differently in each jurisdiction. Here in DC it is three or more unwanted "contacts" -- phone, mail, in person -- after being told or otherwise led to know that the person wants you to leave them alone. It's used mostly in domestic violence situtations. (You're not gay, are you?)
