"Had Clinton resigned, Gore would have become POTUS and likely been re-elected and still be POTUS today."

HAH!!! Don't you believe it fer a minute, my FRiend...Gore wuz crooked as a three-dollar bill, too, and wouldda never run fer re-election, IMHO!! Still, even with Gore and Clinton DE-LEGITIMIZED, the RAT Party needn't have fallen the way it has except that they continue to act as if nothing Clinton ever did bothered them in the least, while any clear-thinking individual can see that they are nothing but feckless PowerWhores and lowlife scumbags with no regard for anything but themselves. And that pissed off a lotta folks who wouldda regularly said "All politicians do it and I'd rather not get involved" enuff to git off our keyesters and git involved in the ruckus!!

"God's plan for the destruction of evil (and the RAT party) is obviously better than our own plans, in hindsight. And we should never forget that Good will beat Bad in the end."

No argument there, my FRiend, although I must say I believe God wouldda been tickled pink if the Senate had CONVICTED and DETHRONED Der SchleekMeister when they had the chance...and 9/11/01 wouldda NEVER happened!!...and I'll defend that last statement to my dying day!!

"...they NEVER get caught!"

Au contraire, IMHO...I just watched an ESPN special on the Noles' season and they definitely had to overcome some adversity this year. McPherson, Rix, some all-everything DT all got kicked off the team...and FSU punished most of these kids on their own accord, not the NCAA's. And think back about Warren Sapp--or was he Miami?--and his pot-smoking or Peter Warrick and his shoplifting...sure they get caught, and punished. Coach Bowden made the argument that these occurences happen everywhere but we focus on the programs that are the most successful. There's a little bit of truth to that, but I also believe it's deeper and many of the SuperBlueChip athletes create this sense of self-entitlement from being superstuds since Junior High. Heck, UVA hoop's has a sophomore guard (Harper) who was suspended for the first few games this year after getting a DUI, last years' QB Spinner simply stopped going to classes before transferring to U of Richmond, and a coupla years ago we lost three football players who beat up some other students in a drunken binge.

These are still teenagers and teenagers do STOOOOPID things...MUD

No. The *football program* does't get punished like Alabama and Kentucky did this year. No probations regardless of known recruiting violations.

I saw part of the same program - it was on right after the Anna Kournakova special. Anna = greatest female athlete of our time.

Yankhater is not going to be here on the 4th as previously planned. So I have to see what the Missus has on tap for me. Anyway last Thursday me and Yankhater had seats right behind the Roanoke bench with the glass between us. Hope we can get good seats like that again.

WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!...I'm an uncle AGAIN!!!

"Zachary Luke, born at 10:44 PM on December 30, 2002. Diane and baby are doing great. She went to the hospital about 7:30 PM, right after they had put Ryan to bed. They left Ryan at a neighbors and rushed to the hospital, where the baby was born so quickly that they were not able to administer an Epidural or anything. Zachary is a big boy as he weighed in at 4.165 Kilograms and was 57 centimeters long. He has quite abit of dark hair, according to Daddy. That puts the boys ahead by 5-2--Poor Jessica and Kendall :) That is all the details we have. By the way, 4.1675 KG converts to 9 pounds and 3 ounces and 57 centimeters converts to 22.4409 inches."

Little mudrats runnin' 'roun' everywhere...LOL!!

"When MUD Takes Slick Down!!"
(To be sung to U2 and B.B. King's "When Love Comes To Town")

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

{cb:Verse1(Bono):}
[E]I was a sailor, I was lost in [A]sea [E]
[E]I was under the waves, before loves resqued[A] me [E]
[E]I was a fighter I could turn on th[A]reat [E]
Now [E]I st[N.C.]and accused of things I've said.

{cb:Chorus(B.B.)}
[A]Love comes to town,
I'm gonna jump that train [A]
When l[E]ove comes to town,
I'm gonna catch that flame.[A]
Maybe I was wrong to ever let you down,
But I [E]did [N.C.]what I did before love came to town.

{cb:Verse 2(Bono):}
Used to make love under the red sunset,
I was making promises I that were soon to forget.
She was pale as the lace of her wedding gown,
But I left her standing before love came to town.

{cb:Verse 3(Bono):}
Ran into a juke joint when I heard Slick Willie SQUEEEEEAL,
The notes were turning blue as RAPISTS should feel!!
As the music played I saw my life turn around
That was the day before love came to town.

{cb:Chorus(B.B.):}
{c:solo The Edge}
{cb:Chorus(B.B.) over The Edge's solo}
[A]Love comes to town,
I'm gonna jump that train [A]
When l[E]ove comes to town,
I'm gonna catch that flame.[A]
Maybe I was wrong to ever let you down,
But I [E]did [N.C.]what I did before love came to town.

{c:solo B.B. King}

{cb:Verse 4(B.B.):}
I was there when they crusified my lord
I held the scabbard when the soldier drew his sword
I threw the dice as they pierced his side,
But I've seen love conquer the great divide.

{cb:Chorus(B.B.):}
[A]Love comes to town,
I'm gonna jump that train [A]
When l[E]ove comes to town,
I'm gonna catch that flame.[A]
Maybe I was wrong to ever let you down,
But I [E]did [N.C.]what I did before love came to town.

{c:The second solo by B.B. King}

"Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.........."

Good Lord! Congratulations, Mud. Good to see the Mud family growing!

As you may know I'm planning an Old Dominion trip to St. John's Church in Richmond for the reenactment of the Virginia Second Convention in 1776 this March. I posted a link on the FR Virginia page. I'm looking for a restaurant/tavern/B&B within walking distance of St. John's for the group to get a bite to eat, enjoy the libation of their choice, and FR good cheer. When I was there before I stayed at The William Catlin House, but I don't think their dining room can accomodate a group. Anyone know anything about Mr. Patrick Henry's Inn? Thanks for your suggestions!

"I'm planning an Old Dominion trip to St. John's Church in Richmond..."

Me and the Missuz got hitched there 10 years ago this coming July 31st...I'll hook you up with all the best places to go!!

"...a restaurant/tavern/B&B within walking distance of St. John's for the group to get a bite to eat, enjoy the libation of their choice, and FR good cheer."

Yer within walking distance of Shockoe Bottom so yer choices are unlimited. How big a group are we talking about?! The Patrick Henry Inn's only open fer special events, but that could be the ticket as I know the owners purty well. If it's a small group, my favorite is the Hill Street Cafe there on 28th and Broad (St. John's is on 25th and Broad).

March what, BTW? Conservativemusician's band is planning a swing thru Richmond just about that time and if so, Legends Brewery might be the ticket!!
