To person who said those on this thread "hate gays" - I think if you understand my position you will understand the feelings of many others. I DO NOT HATE individuals who for various reasons (often broken homes, being molested as a child) identify themselves with their same-sex desires or practices. I have a close family member who suffers from such identification, and I still love her very much, talk to her on the phone, etc. DO I hate her? NO! Do I feel compassion for her? YES. Do I agree with her in her so-called "gayness"? Absolutely not.
What many people here feel is extreme antipathy for the homosexual acitvists, who want to recruit many young people into the so-called "gay lifestyle". The reasons? Homosexuals need/want many many partners as they are practically never monogamous and in fact most practice extreme promiscuity.
(Note - My husband, who lived for years in SF as a contractor, saw a lot of acivitiy in the Castro district which is a notorious homo district, and what he saw there blew his mind. Homosexual behavior is vicious, often violent, and deadly. He saw stuff like faggot parades, with men leading little boys with chains around their necks, under the NAMBLA banner.)
Plus as documented many are attracted to young boys, so they want to get them young.
Next, the homo activists do not want to be just tolerated, they want their perverse sexuality to be considered as normal and natural- or even better - as heterosexual relations, AND they want special proctection.
So yes, I HATE the homosexual agenda, and I do not hate individuals.
HATE THE SIN, NOT THE SINNER!
