I have more sympathy for Lott then most Freepers. He seems like a decent fellow and keeping Chaffee, Snowe, etc...in line must be like herding cats. That being said, the cold, hard, and brutal fact is that he is now a political liability and has reversed some of the gains the Pubbies were making with the minorities. I agree with almost everything you said Matt, except I have NO respect and strongly disliked Lott even before his stupid remarks. Lott only said his remarks to prove he's not a eunich.
