  1. Lott DEFINITELY should step aside...
  2. ...but not for this!
Lott should step aside because he is a weenie, unprepared to lead in such trying times. Then but a Real Man in, someone who can take the hits and give back double, someone who can call hard shots and bring his team in line behind them. Not some mush-mouthed momma's boy who likes to "make nice" more than anything in the whole wide world.

This is the last straw. Between his goofy endorsement of the Dixiecrats, repeated according to Drudge, his ambiguous relationship with the CCC, and his rolling over on the Clinton impeachment, he is no longer an asset to the party IMHO. Apparently he is a person who thinks he can change his persona depending on who is in the room with him.
