By all means let's keep the Maryland state legislature from meeting, shell their cities, and violate our duty to guarantee a republican form of government to the unwashed so we can ensure the government is maintained by constitutional means. The letter to General Scott you snipped specifically says that the legislature be allowed -to- meet. Who are you trying to fool? Did you blush when you saw the unedited letter?

No, Walt, only when I read the part I quoted. Then again, it was more like shock and revulsion. I specifically quoted just that piece, and provided a link. That quote is to show the actions of your "lover of freedom for all men everywhere". Shell cities? Yeah, that takes guts. It also follows with the practices this "lover of freedom" allowed his generals and cabinet to undertake.
