Whoa, we just want him to resign as majority leader, he doesn't have to give up his seat in the Senate. He will.
Would you stay on in a job where you had been branded a racist, when you could make millions as a lobbyist elsewhere and not have to put up with the likes of Elijah Cummings judging your suitability to be a Senator?
If you think Lott would stay on, you're hopelessly naive.

We've still got a majority. Remember, it's his fault Landrieu won (his comments energized black voters, costing us a seat in the House and in the Senate). The sooner he's out of the Senate, the less damage he's doing to our party, the better. Why do you think Tom Daschle is so keen on us keeping him?

If Lott has a backbone he better put it to use now!, Because if he doesn't this NON-ISSUE will cost us dearly. I'm no fan of Lott's leadership abilities, but now is the time for him to stand up and it's also the time for conservatives to see what this left wing witch hunt, for what it is, and fight back

Hopefully, you see where this mindless frenzy you were instrumental in starting yesterday is leading.
We could be back to a power-sharing agreement with the Democrats, and one Lincoln Chaffee-hissy-fit from being in the GD minority, again.
All over a stupid remark at a birthday party for an old man that you people have blown into the equivalent of a Birmingham church bombing!
This is madness!
