WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- A Texas man is jailed after allegedly going on a rampage in a strip club after finding his daughter working there.
Witnesses say 41-year-old Lee Wayne Lawrence was dressed in survival gear when he was arrested unharmed at Maximus in Wichita Falls. Lawrence remained in the Wichita County Jail Monday under $500,000 bond, charged with aggravated assault.
Police say Lawrence entered the club Saturday night, destroyed furniture and was carrying what appeared to be a pipe bomb. Investigators say he damaged two 7-foot-tall water-bubble lamps and a leopard-skin chair and slashed three tables tops with a knife.
Investigators are still analyzing the device he carried to determine whether it could have detonated.
It's pretty simple. The press uses all the names of someone accused of a crime so they're less likely to get confused with other people with the same first and last name.
Lee Lawrence? I bet there's a ton of them in every phone book. There may be more than one Lee Wayne Lawrence, but using all three names narrows it down.
How would you like to explain to your boss or neighbors that you're not the Lee Lawrance they heard about in the news? Saves everyone a lot of grief.
Its just not as subtle to come out and say "We've worked so hard demonize gun-rights advocates by attributing to them a negative stereotype of the crazy/racialy bigoted/pro-confederate/red-neck/kkk member/survivalist type image... we'd like you to include pipe bombers when you think of these people, too."

Further predictions: Daughter was 18, was "dating" the owner of the club, and there were drugs involved.
