U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson's order found the monument violates the Constitution's ban against government establishment of religion

Amendment I:

Congress

Was the U.S. Congress involved?

shall make no law

Did anyone -- let alone the U.S. Congress -- make any law?

respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;

With all due respect, "Judge," I think you're the one attempting to make a law, here.

That argument used to hold up prior to the 14th Amendment. Where the left takes it too far is to confuse the presence of religion in the public square with the establishment of a religion by the state.

By extension, the federal courts and their authority are a creation of congress.

Tell me what "religion" is being promoted by displaying by the Ten Commandments? Jewish, Baptist, Catholic, 7th Day Adventist, Mormon, Jehovah's Witness, Congregational, Lutheran, Quaker, or, perhaps, one I didn't mention? Don't lump them all together as Christian, because they differ in their doctrines and beliefs. Name the specific religion being promoted by this display for which this Judge is accused?
