Both, I was duped again. I am slowly moving toward the Constitution Party or the Conservative Party. But that would only allow DemonRats to win but maybe the republicans need to be taught a lesson.

Why did Bush not allow Black, Republican, Pro-Life Alan Keyes to push for Terrell with him in Louisiana last week, so the pro-life black could have or may have voted for Suzie Terrell??????

Bush Screwed up big time again. Alan Keyes should have been right next to him.

I think Bushy and others should reread the platform of the Republican Party
http://www.rnc.org/GOPInfo/Platform/2000platform4.htm

The Supreme Court’s recent decision, prohibiting states from banning partial-birth abortions — a procedure denounced by a committee of the American Medical Association and rightly branded as four-fifths infanticide — shocks the conscience of the nation. As a country, we must keep our pledge to the first guarantee of the Declaration of Independence. That is why we say the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed. We support a human life amendment to the Constitution and we endorse legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment’s protections apply to unborn children. Our purpose is to have legislative and judicial protection of that right against those who perform abortions. We oppose using public revenues for abortion and will not fund organizations which advocate it. We support the appointment of judges who respect traditional family values and the sanctity of innocent human life.

Bush Appoints 5 PRO-ABORTION Judges to the Federal Bench in NJ.

Now read the platform of the party and see why I am mad and betrayed.

It also had a quotation from the Old Testament.

Well, according to SOME, the Old Testament isn't good enough.

(A revelation to me)

No one stopped Keyes from going to campaign, unless Terrell specifically requested him not to do so. Part of the problem Keyes supporters fail to realize is that while he motivates white Republicans, he is a total turn-off to black democrats, who consider him a turncoat. This speaks volumes about the control the democrats have on the black community, but the fact remains that Keyes stumping for Terrrll was probably not going to get her one additional vote.

I really have a problem believing you got a card last year, because it was very similar to this year's card, and no one posted outrage last year about it. Of course, last year we were still as a nation in shock from 9/11 and perhaps all the Bush-bashers decided criticizing a Christmas card would be in poor taste.

I myself think it is STILL in poor taste to gripe about this card. Bush-bashing has had slim pickings, lately, I guess.

If you are truly a donor to the RNC, please go to the Constitution party, where I am sure Mr. Phillips will be happy to take your money. You actually sound to me like a disgruntled person who was a Keyes supporter and cannot recover from his failure to win a large number of votes.

Yes - when they want to find fault - there is always a way.

I too celebrate Christmas as the wonderful holiday season it is. I don't really mark the birthday aspect although I see no problem with it personally. It is just a symbolic date and as such is just a way to remember Christ's birth yearly.

This PC nonsense is making us all act like 5 year olds whining to momma - make him stop - he is hurting my feelings.

We should act as adults and realize that in a free society - tolerance and respect for others is required. Every day there is some big flap about someone being offended by something and then expecting the government, the laws, and all of society to jump to it to appease their "hurt feelings".

Yet, they never stop to think that they, by having the chip on shoulder, are taking away the freedoms of their countrymen. It is becoming a power play to see how much you can get people to bend to your will.

Then, these very same people rant and rave about the government taking away their "rights".

Notice that the date on your quote is Easter 2001. Pre 9/11 Duhhbya don't count. Before Bush got those big approval numbers he seemed like he actually had a spine.

Now.....???

Nice try, rduuhhhbya.

Preident Bush's Remarks on Easter, 2002

I send greetings to everyone observing Easter this year. During this joyful season of new life and renewal, Christians around the world celebrate the central event of their faith -- the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, whom Christians believe is the Messiah, the Son of God.

The life and teachings of Jesus have inspired people throughout the ages to strive for a better world and a more meaningful life. Jesus' death stands out in history as the perfect example of unconditional love. The four Gospels of the Christian Bible recount Jesus' amazing life, his miraculous death, resurrection, and ascension, and his unending offer of salvation to all. The story of Jesus' wondrous resurrection comes alive again for Christians each year at Easter.

Easter Sunday commemorates in song and celebration the joy and promise of Christ's triumph over evil and death. Christians around the world gather together to sing well-loved hymns to God's glory, remembering the signs and wonders of God's grace revealed in Jesus. And they again will hear Gospel readings such as Saint Luke's rendering of that first Easter morning when the Angel asked: "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen!"

Easter's message of renewal is especially meaningful now during this challenging time in our Nation's history. On September 11, 2001, America suffered devastating loss. In the wake of great evil, however, Americans responded with strength, compassion, and generosity. As we fight to promote freedom around the world and to protect innocent lives in America, we remember the call of the Battle Hymn of the Republic: "As He died to make men holy, let us live to make men free."

The WH card this year was much like last year's.

I got one today from my senator. It says, "Have a flag wavin' Merry Texas Christmas." It quotes Luke 2:14-"Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men."

I'm sure you would find fault with it; Santa is wavin' a Texas flag! How dare he!-when 5 pro abortion judges were appointed in NJ.

It seems to me that it's funny but sad that in your rantings about keeping Christ in Christmas cards, you have forgotten the teachings of Christ except what YOU want to remember.

You sound like Satan to me.

No, the Keyes issue, regarding Bush not allowing him to come to Louisiana for Terrell, came to light today and it's fresh on my mind. Keyes is a republican. I did receive a card last year as well as this year, believe it or not. The only reason why I mentioned the card is that I came upon this thread while doing a search for something else-- a card company in Hoboken NJ is selling cards which mock Christmas and not Kwanzaa and other holidays this season. So, don't think you can read my mind.

The only reason why I posted was that I did not like the way some people responded to the lady from NY. And I still thought there were still some southern gentlemen around, silly me for believing in such a thing. And it seems there is an anti-Catholic sentiment against the NY lady, so I was compelled to post. And yes, that was my honest opinion with the card, I despised it since there was nothing Christian about it. Let's keep Christ in CHRISTmas since BUSH DID NOT!! I am no rubber stamp for Bush or the Republican party. There needs much work to be done from within and I am not leaving yet so you are still stuck with me.

But if it were a Yamaha, then all we would hear about is how it was a foreign piano, and "this just shows that Bush is undermining American industry."

The single issue people are a wonder. They can ALWAYS find something wrong, even in a Chrhistmas card!

He was president AFTER he made the stem cell decision, so I campaigned for him BEFORE his big mistake while he was a CANDIDATE and still Governor of TX . The campaign came before he was made president and made the ill-fated stem cell decision and before he appointed 5 pro abortion judges in NJ to federal bench. I can only be fooled once.

I suppose the package made it "nicer" to you. It also had a quotation from the Old Testament.

I thought you said this year's card having a bible verse was the first ever for that. I'd assumed you were trying to be accurate. What's up with that?

President Bush was the first president to use a Bible verse on the White House Christmas card. Last year he used one, and that was the first time it had been done. He used one this year as well.

He also used a verse on his card when he was Governor of Texas.
