It was a psalm to appease all religions, it should have been something from the new testament.

When he lit the Christmas tree, Bush wasn't taking the Christ out of Christmas and mentioned Christ's birth specifically.

I will not buy a card unless it clearly says "Card" on it ....These new cards that are not really cards are too confusing ROTFLMAO
The perfect response to idiocy.

Right....it is not a Christmas card.....it is a "happy holidays" card.
When Bush actually deals with issues of Christianity, he does not shy away from standing firm on the Rock.

Yeah, you would rather have a crucifix so you can envision Christ dead on the Cross instead of living in glory.........
cough cough

As long as they paid for it with THEIR money, they can send out whatever they desire.
If it's my money, I say baby Jesus.

The RNC pays for it. Rest easy.

The amazing ignorance of most Christians astounds me.
Jesus is God and God's Son both. Jesus himself said "I and the Father are one." The ENTIRE BIBLE IS ABOUT ONE PERSON: JESUS CHRIST, Creator and Redeemer, Lord God Almighty and Son of the Father all at the same time.
This card IS ABOUT JESUS in the theological sense. Many Psalms are Messianic in nature even.

The Puritans refused to even celebrate Christmas because it essentially is Pagan with all the gift-giving and merry-making.
If I wanted to, I could take the criticism of the card further and attack President Bush for even regarding a Pagan holiday as worthy of even a mention by him. But, I won't go so far since while I agree with the Puritans theologically on many things, I do not agree that Christmas is something we should just discard simply since it is not a religious holiday anymore (not like it ever was). We have Christian liberty to determine whether to observe such holidays.
You see, one can find all sorts of reasons to criticize this if they wanted to....:)

Oh my......Calvin Coolidge was a horrible apostate!
/sarcasm
Coolidge was a strong man of God and a Calvinst Christian like myself.

"Can someone walk up to you and say "I know you're a Christian by how you live your life" as they do to GW?"
What an incredibly humbling thought...thank you.

So he needs to say the words Jesus in order to make you happy?
Jesus is much more than a name; he is the eternal Creator and your limited scope and ability to see him as more than just some baby in a manger that must be called Jesus every time he is referenced to get your approval is too bad.
