I sure sounds like something that was put together in a 5-sided puzzle palace. No wonder I can never get ahead! I can't out-psycholomaniacalanimalilogicalize the OPFOR snowmobile aces! ;-) :-D

So, basically, we all need to be McGyvers. That rules me out. I've got a toilet making noises and I can't figure out how to stop it. Ohhh, my wife LOVES that.

Robert Coram, whose biography, Boyd: The Fighter Pilot Who Changed
the Art of War ( Little Brown ), will appear in November.
I've not read that book yet.
BUT, I have read Robert Corum's book on Col. Bud Day.
Couldn't put it down.
The portions dealing with The Hanoi Hilton (and co-prisoner
John McCain) are riveting.
Should be required reading for high school and university students.
It's titled "American Patriot".

"it weighs about half as much as its U.S. Air Force predecessor, the F-15"
Boyd is deservedly a legend with people who know about his ideas, but I can't trust an author who describes the F-15 as the 'predecessor' to the F-16..... they were developed in the same time-period for distinct cost and mission profiles (i.e., F-16 was judged necessary to have a single-engine multi-role fighter that would cost a lot less than the F-15).
