Back in college I was living in a house with two guys and two girls. We were all in our early to mid 20s, except for one girl who was 19.
One night she brought a guy home from a party. After he left the next day, she complained that she had been nice enough to let him sleep on the floor in her bedroom, but he kept trying to climb into bed with her all night, and what was he thinking anyway?!
A couple of us pointed out that while the guy should have gotten the hint, she set herself up with an unrealistic expectation that he wouldn't expect sex in the first place.
She didn't get it, so we suggested that she trust the few extra years we had on her in that regard.
She raised her voice and asked, "are you guys saying I'm immature?!" With a great stomp of her foot, she proclaimed, "I am SO mature!!" and stormed from the room.
