The most important advice I could give conservatives is that Justice Brandeis had it right: Sunlight is the best disinfectant. Do not let anything unfair be done to you. Don't let any legal equality be denied to you. Don't accept any second class status. Don't accept any repression without screaming in public and shaming the university.

Everything in this article is very high minded and critically thought out, except for resorting to Dr. Laura for a prompting quote. Kinda like going to "Jack" at Jack in the Box for a quote on French Fries as French Cuisine.

Under Clinton, this wasn't necessarily true. I know it was a different context, but remember Little Havana during Easter weekend, when an innocent child was dragged off screaming into the night by government goons. That could have been anyone's child who crossed the self-annointed Smart People.

There was also that couple in Chicago who were prosecuted for expressing their opinion of Klink ("You suck..."). Not to mention the various assorted Kathleen Willeys and Gennifer Flowers and other victims of a regime that brought the full and awesome power of the federal government down on those private citizens who dared to challenge liberal orthodoxy and the position of its self-appointed Leader. That's not to say those of conscience should not express the opposition to the tyrant, but, if we do, there may be more of a price to pay than the interviewee in this article realizes.
