It's just a rumor but allegedly it came from two-term governor Janklow himslef. And I am not from South Dakotan, and I am a big Thune fan.

If this "rumor" is true, Janklow should be told to sit down, shut up and stay where he is for a good, long time. For some bizarre reason, the GOP has a hard time defending that at-large seat when it's open. They don't need the headache of dealing with another Herseth run in '04.
