When I heard more about this letter .. it seemed to me more like a threat to attack Kuwait if they didn't back down and kick US Troops out ..
If I understand correctly Saddam said the reason he invaded Kuwait was because of the US build up on Kuwaiti soil before the invasion.
There was no US buildup of Troops in Kuwait before Saddam attacked them .. but there are US Troops now
Not only were there no troops in Kuwait we were a lot less involved" in the middles east as a whole ( as numerous post 9-11 inquires has proven) but thank to one osama bin laden the US will now and forever be involved in the middle east overtly and covertly for many many many years.
