He had an interesting way of apologising. What struck me most forcibly is that, although the apology was said to be from him, he didn't deliver it. Instead, he had one of his paid mouthpieces do it on his behalf. Hardly a sincere gesture.
Maybe he did this so he could later deny he said it?
