Reminds me of days of olde... Say anything bad about the King and off flew your head. Now we have annointed the office of the presidency with nearly the same protection. Some of these people would sell our freedoms, one at a time, step by step until we have freedom no more.

Is being able to verbally threaten a POTUS with death a "freedom" that's important to you?

I think it's still legal to say you don't like his haircut, or disagree with him politically, by the way. (Don't worry about your head flying off for that.)

Dotter...

You mite well be surprised at what little adverse sayings brings the SS people calling on a less than social visit.

Perhaps I do value my freedom of speech more than some. Nowhere in the constitution does it say, "The masses must relinquish certains rights in favor of the office of the presidency". This nation survived nearly 200 years without such a restriction. Please show me where it is written by the Founding Fathers, that the man residing in the White House warrants protections above and beyond the masses?????

I thot that we were all "EQUAL" under the law, perhaps I am wrong or maybe some people are more equal..

During the Vietnam war, there was burning in effigys, of presidents Johnson, and Nixon. This was far more destructive and inciteful of hatred and danger to our president. Now you can't even mention the words?
