...because x42 has already been denied the privilege of practicing before the Supreme Court.
I think that denial is only good for about 10 years. (Or is that the disbarrment?)

Not even that long I'm afraid, I think The Toon is eligible in 2008..

Justice Thomas's humility is the foundation of his strength in the face of vilification.
Plus, I have had occasion to read a number of his opinions and they display some of the most lucid reasoning the denizens of the court have produced.
To: Tacis
Hey Tacis, her name is Julianne Malveaux (I think I spelled her name correctly). She certainly IS an ultra-left winger. I remember watching her on C-SPAN's Morning Journal some time ago debate John McManus, the President (???) of the John Birch Society, & he blew her away! She's a Progressive/Socialist nut! She said that the Constitution actually states that blacks are only 3/4 human....what another leftist outrage & lie. BTW, I wonder if she could be related to Suzanne Malveaux of NBC News? Notice the similarities in their names? Could they possibly b sisters???
To: Senator Pardek
Stevens was nominated by Nixon to the Court of Appeals, but by Ford to the Supreme Court.

Thomas is just 54 (same age as GWB) and would have a good 20 years ahead of him, maybe more. Excellent point.
I like Scalia as well, but for this reason alone, Thomas should get the nod.

Scalia would be my first choice but apparently he doesn't play well with others...but considering he's serving with 4 liberals and a hack numbskull like Sandra Day O'Connor it's excusable.
To: Commander8
Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia are both great guys and seeing either one of them on the Chief Justice's bench would make my day.And both were disparaged within my law classes within the past 2 months. I overheard one conversation last week describing the "hub-bub" that resulted from Notre Dame "daring" to invite Scalia to speak last year... and in October, a student uttered in class, with the liberal prof laughing and agreeing, that Thurgood Marshall was the only acceptable black Supreme Court Justice. (I unfortunately wasn't in the mood to take on the lefties solo yet again, so I didn't bother asking whether Dr. Martin Luther King would approve of inventing a new racial category called "unacceptable blacks".)

Let 'em compare "pubic hair in my coke" to "here suck on this" and "hey let me diddle you with my cigar". Totenberg and crew would have to sit on their asses and keep their mouths shut. You'll be able to see the smoke come out of their ears though.

If he cannot practice there, I wouldn't suppose he could head the court Good point.
- but then we are talking about the Liar in Chief - so I guess anything goes!
Naw, not even a dem Senate would appoint a disbarred disgrace to the Supremes. I wonder if Hilary's appointing him Chief Justice wasn't a part of the plans they must have laid out for themselves 30 years ago. Too bad the best laid schemes o' mice and men gang aft a-gley. Too too bad, really, after the clintons' having built that bridge to the 21st century and all. He can't be Hilary's vice-president either, because under the 12th amendment someone ineligible to be president cannot run for VP. What alternative trophies does he have lined up that are big enough for his ego? Sec-Gen of the UN perhaps? Head of the World Bank or Court? I doubt it...not too much adulation there. How sad to see that lying, traitrous psychopath become more and more irrelevant.

Hillary would tout Ginsberg... one hag to another. Any word on Ginsberg's health. I thought it was reported awhile ago, that she might have to give up the position. Anyone have a fresher memory or additional facts?
To: ewing
You may be right, but I thought the order from the Supremes said he was barred for life! Maybe somebody can clarify this issue.

Either Justice Clarence Thomas or Antonin Scalia would be great choices.
Both will give ACLU lawyers across the nation acid reflux disease and layers of more psychiatric problems for decades.
Justice Thomas as the Supreme Supreme would be like a Fish bone lodged in the throat of every black Racist like Ja$ckson the unRev Al $harpton. Then every white elitist Rat Racist in Congress would have nightmares.
Besides a new Supreme Supreme, President Bush will appoint 2 to 4 new Chief Justices before he becomes citizen Bush. What a great inheritance for our children and grandchildren, that will be!

This and the Al Gore self immolation is just a good news day.

>>>The 'Rats already took their best shot and with the Republicans in control, it will be a relative shoo-in. Let the 'Rats lose more support with the black voters by trying to smear Thomas once again.<<<
Well said!

>>>I would LOVE watching the demonRATs try pulling Anita Hill out of her hole again after 8 years of defending the rapist in chief.<<<
That's an excellent point...

>>>I would hope that Scalia gets the seat. Goes ten years then hands off to Justice Thomas.<<<
Hillary might not allow that.

It just keeps getting better. So much for the jerks who told us there was not a sliver of difference between Dubya and Owlgore.
To: BillyBoy
And before the Bears, he was the kicker for Notre Dame. He lived in my dorm. Nice guy.
