I do think this is a big deal. We needed that 52nd seat!! I think the 6% unemployment coupled with the shakeup of the WH economic team threw this one to Landrieu. Terrell had the momentum but the economic news on Friday totally took the wind out of her sails.

I agree with you regarding the much needed victory. Someone from the GOP is going to go south on ~W~ at the most inopportune moment.
