Good work. The RNC really can use this as a great example of legal abuse. Tort reform now!

I say put a price on attorneys similar to deer tags. END of PROBLEM. Think of the revenue the state would make.

From http://www.angelfire.com/ca4/philhendrie/lawsuits.html

Steve Bozell of Corona CA has been the most litigious of Phil's guests. Below are some of his more famous lawsuits.

For great litigation, call Attorneys Bill and Delores Blasingame, the attorneys to Steve Bozell! (and the richest lawyers in Riverside!)

Steve Bozell has been taken to task by G. Gordon Liddy (of Watergate fame)on his nationally syndicated radio show for being one of the most litigous characters in America.

His first lawsuit was against the County of Riverside for false advertising since their Chamber of Commerce brochures did not inform him about their hot weather so he wanted to get reimbursed for his $800 a month air conditioning bill.

A lawsuit against the Parks and Recreation Department of the city of Riverside for putting a blue dye in their public pool that activated when one urinated in the pool. Steve was very embarrassed when he was caught urinating in the pool. As he left the pool after urinating, the blue evidence was everywhere. His whole family laughed at him.

NASA is another source of Bozell's litigation after it cancelled his trip on the space shuttle as an engineer. He had purchased a fancy helmet and wanted reimbursement. Aired 11-4-98

Steve Bosell (with a deeper Southern accent here) is filing suit against a hospital after they refuse him treatment and he's forced to amputate both of his arms and part of his own leg... with the plastic knife and spoon from his dinner plate.Submitted by Bill of Shuck and Jive

Steve is also suing a Civil War reenactment group because he did not know that the Confederates lost and that he would be killed in the reenactment. This was a cause of embarrassment to him in front of his family watching. Aired 7-6-98

Automobile repair shops in Los Angeles and Orange counties say they’re the target of an ongoing extortion campaign launched by a Beverly Hills law firm.

They're learning from Jessie. Must be the DNC is demanding more cash.

I know people who work in this sector. They, in turn, tell me stories about some of the more...less tightly wrapped, shall we say...folks in the business.

If this jerk serves the wrong people, Mr. Trevor is going to discover that there are people just as ruthless as he is...and far more violent.

Although it might cause a serious depression in the law industry (I'm an attorney) I think that this story makes it clear that we need some kind of "loser pays" system.

In this case, however, these scumbags need to be in prison.

Frankly I think they might be safer in prison than on the street. I think that one of these days they are going to end up suing the wrong business.

A few of these little shops that are the targets of these suits are actually fronts for money laundering for organized crime. They might not take too lightly to being the victims of this kind of extortion.

The Mob has a unique way of eliminating nuisances.

I called the RNC about this this morning. Mr. Racicot will talk with Karl Rove about this over the weekend to try and push Bush's tort reform measure.

Good. The trial lawyers are going nuts. Look what they've done to the cost of healthcare (for the DNC "free universal health care plan for everyone").
Look what they've done to pharmacudical prices (for the DNC "free proscription drugs for everyone")

Have you ever noticed that when Phil has a cold, everybody in his office and all of his guest speakers have a cold, too? :)

I respect those attorneys who have a conscience and truly act as an officer of the court. It can be a very noble profession. Unfortunately, it seems that most who go to law school learn to leave their morality when they graduate. Twice in my life I almost went to law school. I suspect had I done it, the profession would have burned me out quickly.

This is what keeps me out of small business.

I can't afford to be sued because someone does something stupid with my product.

F'ing ridiculous..

"Well, was there a sticker that said a person shouldn't swallow your vacuum cleaner? How are they supposed to know? Hummmm?"

Ping, and look who is helping Gray Davis and the Dims to destroy small business in California.

Anyone got Trevor's campaign contributions figured?

It doesn't take a lot of bad apples to spoil the whole barrell. Whenever people ask me what I do, I tell them I'm a frustrated and unemployed Rock and Roll musician (which is true-- I'm not employed as a Rock and Roll Musician). If I tell them I'm an attorney, they'll either spit on me or ask me for free legal advice.
