Question:..will it be the NY Times or the Washington Post that gets hold of a copy first and prints it.....oh, say..on Tuesday....

LOL - I forgot about the NY Slimes. They have people in low places who will probably get this info for them.

Neither....the Telegraph...on Monday!

I have my own theory about how the war will start. Obviously, we know SH has WMD's..and we're probably closely monitoring several sites.....so, I'd say a few hours after the Iraqi documents are released...we'll capture an Iraqi site, and invite the UN inspectors and the world media in to take a look-see.....then we'll start the war..

Oh no, not during the present new moon. ;-)

Extra time to blot out the words "from France". We must be sophisticated about this.

Rush said today, its going to take time to translate 13,000 pages because its in Arabic. An obvious delaying tactic.

HANS BLIX : General Powell, this is an unexpected pleasure. We're honored by your presence.
GENERAL POWELL : You may dispense with the pleasantries, Inspector. I'm here to put you back on schedule.
The inspector turns ashen and begins to shake.
HANS BLIX : I assure you, General Powell, my men are working as fast as they can.
GENERAL POWELL : Perhaps I can find new ways to motivate them.
HANS BLIX : I tell you, Iraq will be disarmed as planned.
GENERAL POWELL : The President does not share your optimistic appraisal of the situation.
HANS BLIX : But he asks the impossible. I need more men.
GENERAL POWELL : Then perhaps you can tell him when he arrives.
HANS BLIX (aghast) : The President's coming here?
GENERAL POWELL : That is correct, Commander. And he is most displeased with your apparent lack of progress.
HANS BLIX : We shall double our efforts.
GENERAL POWELL : I hope so, Inspector, for your sake. The President is not as forgiving as I am.

10,000 pages of obfuscation...hmmmm...wonder if they hired any ex-IRS employees to help them write it?

Indeed, the only reason to delay is to edit.

The London Times or Telegraph will have it online before the UN can do its steppit fetchit stall routine.
Remember how they had Tony Blair's data the night before it was present in the UN. I got a call and an email from friends in London, and they told me about the full article.
I linked posted a thread about the article and made the links. We had the article before the NY Slimes could lie about it.

"Although the declaration, estimated to be at least 10,000 pages long, will be delivered to New York on Sunday, the 15 Security Council members will not receive a copy until later, according to Colombia's U.N. ambassador, Alfonso Valdivieso, this month's council president."Why does it take 10,000 pages to say "we don't HAVE any WMD?" And why the delay...does it have to be edited and all agressive language taken out?

Continuing...
PRESIDENT BUSH: Mr. Blix? Did I hear that right?
HANS BLIX: Hear what, Mr. President?
PRESIDENT BUSH: That you need more men and a doubling of your efforts?
HANS BLIX: Er, you were listening?
PRESIDENT BUSH: Yes. I hereby offer the services of the United States military, who will be destroying the weapons as they find them.
HANS BLIX: But, but but...
PRESIDENT BUSH: No 'but's; I insist. We'll start with these coordinates we saw the Iraqis moving their weapons to when they found out about your "unannounced" inspections.
General Franks, you may proceed.

I don't get it.If they have no weapons of mass destruction why does that take 10,000 pages? You simply write the statement:"I have no weapons of mass destruction" and send it into the UN?BWAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA
To: steveegg
If Iraq has no WMDs, then why don the UN inspectors need the protective hazard suits?

Both UNMOVIC and the IAEA, headed by Mohamed ElBaradei, will scan the material to see which parts should be held from public view and then reproduce it for transmission to council members. About 8,000 pages are for UNMOVIC, and 2000 for the IAEA, diplomats said. Let me see; the parts that will be held from public view will be any mention of military uses of the dual-use technologies involved, where these activities occured, and where the finished products are. They'll be delayed until whatever weapons Saddam does have are positioned for final delivery.

You asked why it takes 10,000 pages to say "No WMD". The story says...
The resolution not only required Iraq to submit any information on its past and current weapons programs but give in detail any materials in its civilian industries, such as petrochemicals, that could be used in illegal weapons.
They obviously can't say "Never had WMD, never had anything that could be WMD." They figure that if they say "No WMD now", there'll be enough historical fact in the disclosure of their previous efforts to cover the lie and let the French, Russians and Red Chinese all use their vetoes with straight faces.

The "inspectors" don't need protective suits because they're only going where they know the weapons and their precursors AREN'T, and they're giving the Iraqis enough notice to scrub things down in case there's still traces around.
