Archy, your enemy is not Bush, it is and always has been the Evil Dumocrats and The Thing. HE is the one that has almost destroyed this country, and unless Americans wake up, The Thing may have won.
Because as a Memphis-based jopurnalist, I had little access to the old Soviet Union, Oxford, or Arafat in the Middle East, despite a couple of short trips overseas. Accordingly, I was more interested in Mid-South goings-on, particularly to include Little Rock [the murder of Little Rock UPI Statehouse reporter Judy Danielak by a sniper a few months after the Juanita Broaddrick rape, for instance] Nashville [to include research into details of official coverups of the narcotics trafficking by Gore's uncle Whit LaFon and theft of Tennessee National Guard weapons and explosives] and the unusual circumstances of the death of Memphis attorney Stanley Huggins, following his investigation into the collapse of the Madison Guarantee Savings and Loan firm that put whitehouse chums Jim and Susan McDougle behind bars. Then there was the civil lawsuit trial brought by the family of Martin Luther King for that murder, and a few others with names I bet not familiar to you.
Archy, your enemy is not Bush, it is and always has been the Evil Democrats and The Thing.
Certainly. And of course, those Republicans or others who are on the payroll of the Democrats, or who have otherwise been subverted or compromised by them. Surely you would not want to see such creatures remain in the ranks of honest Republicans to further corrupt others and lower the reputation of Republicans to that of the Democrats. Why people might begin to believe that all Republicans were helping further criminal activities in which Democrats like *The Thing* you mentioned profitted as governor from transshipments of narcotics through the Mena, Arkansas airport, and others...but only with the help of coverup from then Arkansas U.S. Attorney Asa Hutchinson, supposedly a Republican.
You have a choice: Either the crooks and Democratic accomplices can be tossed from the ranks of decent Republican candidates and officeholders, or more and more Americans will simply see them both as partners sharing their criminal operation, squabbling only on the division of the proceeds and how to best split them up.
And if *The Thing* wins, or if his other political allies get another chance to destroy this country, it will be because some Republicans failed to bring him to justice for his criminal actions, fearful that a few of their own would also be named as his accomplices.
But Bush seems to have no problem at all keeping on the Clinton-era appointees he inherited from his predecessor...including all those Democratic U.S. Attorneys appointed after most of the Republican U.S. Attorney appointees had been fired.
