Why in the world is Zogby polling people on tolerance?
What exactly does he mean by tolerance?
What was the specific poll question concerning tolerance?
Did Zogby ask conservatives if liberals tolerate conservatives?
IMHO, when it comes to tolerance the liberals hardly understand what the word means. All I've seen is that their paramount role in life appears to be one of criticizing intolerance. Just look at how much they want to control of our lives. Just look at how they need to legislate from the bench in order to change, modify, our freedom and behavior because if they stood up and told us what they are all about no one would tolerate such lunacy.

I was wondering the same things. Why is "tolerance" an issue?

What exactly does he mean by tolerance? Kissing @ss to buy votes. Truly tolerant DemoRats are the ones who have no ethical or moral standards and will kiss anyone's @ss if it will benefit them or their party.

Here's your "tolerance' question...
Suppose a radical group of a foreign religious cult were to commandeer several commuter airplanes and sequentially crash them into various US buildings over the course of several hours in a single day. Hundreds of passengers aboard the planes will be killed. Thousands of innocent US citizens - including children - would be killed in their offices. Which political party would be more tolerant of the religious concerns of the hijackers, Republicans or Democrats?

"Tolerance" has become a democratic buzzword, they use it so often, that its meaning has become secondary, all the people know, is that dems are for it. If you asked republicans if they think that the dems stand for "tolerance", they'd reply, yea for baby killers, gays, anti-white racists, etc. The key part would be the first word, "yea". Most people see the Rats as the party of "tolerance", thats there image, thats there talking point, every single speech, every interview, every social issue has that word. Its simple repition. Does it actually mean anything positive, no. ALot of people will say the rats have to much "tolerance" and not like it, some people will say they themselves are intolerant of islamofacists, but the rats are "tolerant" of them. Being the party of "tolerance" might not always be a good thing. Zogby did not point that out. I think it may have actually been a negative thing in this past election.

Good point. And for that matter, what the heck is Zogby doing polling on any of these issues? They don't mean a dang thing to a candidate--what are you going to do, come out and say that you're tolerant to get your tolerance numbers up? Tell people you're for family values instead of against them? Say you're FOR integrity? Say your name is NOT Torricelli?
This is the state of American politics. We have pollsters asking voters about completely idiotic 'issues,' voters who hate 'confrontational and divisive' or 'partisan' politicians, and politicians who refuse to take on the real issues because of the aforementioned morons.
I love my country, but GAWDAMIGHTY, we have some stupid people! Guess it could be worse...
...they could all be French.

Via Andrew Sullivan...
"Tolerant, but not stupid! Look, just because you have to tolerate something doesn't mean you have to approve of it! ..."Tolerate" means you're just putting up with it! You tolerate a crying child sitting next to you on the airplane or, or you tolerate a bad cold. It can still pi$$ you off! " - Mr. Garrison, South Park.
