Another FAA spokeswoman, Kathleen Bergen, called the plane a single-engine aircraft, likely a home-built experimental aircraft.

A what? This is getter crazier by the minute.

This picture is of the "tail-end" of the aircraft. The "side" that's supposed to face the sky is against the building, so we're seeing what normally faces earthward. The white portion of the wreckage is called a stabilator -- a combination horizontal stabilizer and elevator, and is found most commonly on aircraft manufactured by Piper.

>>The building also houses the Miami bureau of The Associated Press.

Ought to guarantee some coverage...

What kind of coverage? AP refused to call the hijackers who attacked on 9/11 "terrorists" because they lost some staff that day and wanted to remain "objective".

"It appears to be an accident," said Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Laura Brown in Washington.

See? I was right. There was a plane accident.

It was not an accident! This was an intentional uncontrolled impact with terrain!

Well, obviously this wasn't terrorism - plane too small, no casualties except the pilot, no other small planes running into buildings at the same time, no passengers reporting being hijacked.../sarcasm

Still if the AP office is right there in the building hit by the plane, I agree with GovtShrinker, AP ought to have been right on it.

The aircraft in your post in manufactured by Socata, not Piper. Look carefully at shadow cast by the vertical stabilizer across the horizontal stabilizer -- this ought to help your mind's eye:

Piper doesn't do this.

Probably be a couple of days before we hear anything (Saturday is a good day to release such news). It was several days before we heard any details (outside of there being a note) when the Tampa teen kamikaze flew into a building. His note even included the word "terrorist" in the first paragraph to describe his acts (although it was crossed out).

Did any real understanding ever come on the man who flew into the Pirrelli building in Italy? Was he depressed over a financial problem? Was he trying to spy the latest Pirrelli calendar? Was it an act of protest?

The man who flew his plane at the White House during Clinton's presidency wasn't muslim and it could do no major damage either but it is quite uncommon for planes to crash into buildings accidently.

When we first came out of and walked around the side, it was really hard to determine that it was a plane," said vice president and branch manager Jay Curry, who was in the building for a board of directors meeting

Your right. It wasn't a Christmas party. It was a "HOLIDAY" party! CD
