Child removed from family because she was loved too much

An aunt and uncle have lost their fight to keep custody of a child who's almost two years old.

She was removed from her mother, placed in foster care and then placed with the aunt and uncle.

Now, she's going back to foster care because of what the aunt and uncle did, they loved her too much.

Judge Frank Gomez says the little girl’s aunt and uncle loved the two-year-old too much and did not belong with the family.

FLORID-UH striks again!!!!

Okay, I've been gone for a while and here's the news I watch locally for the first time in ages. I see this story and could not believe it. Of course the chicken **its from the state or the Judge's office "could not be reached for comment". This story was heartbreaking to watch live. And it just goes to show what happens when we the people surrender our freedoms like a bunch of bleeting damn sheep and let the socialist educated demorats and social engineers try to run our society. I hate to insult my state, but I've already sent a very nasty email to Jeb Bush and until he gets rid of idiots at DCF and gets the pubbies out to educate the public about judges like these, I find it hard to support him 100% on many issues. Our state is slowly turning into as big a joke as Commiefornia. We deserve this reputation with government like this.

I met a young woman who had worked at Broward County DCF. She said it was unbelievably screwed up. It looks like Tampa is as bad.
What was the problem here with "being loved too much", exactly.

I would imagine that it is all part of bureaucracy and bureaucratic regulations. The American people do not understand that when, in the name of "compassion," they create all these social agencies that they also establish mammoth, uncaring bureaucracies.

As hard as this is to believe, the ruling was that the child was "bonding" too much with the aunt and uncle and since they were not directly related to the mother (his words, not mine) that the child should not be allowed to stay any more because the child would no longer relate to the mother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tampa is a disaster. Hell, the entire state is. DCF is making us look loonier than the Northeastern Socialist Bloc and Commiefornia. I guess I'll be moving my business soon as I'm not going to pay the higher taxes for the stupid amendments the morons passed in this state.

"This is not the country I grew up in."

I really believe that this is the kind of problem the 2nd Amendment was aimed at.

No - not the same country. Socialist judges and socialists in life-long jobs running most government bureaucracies have left us with true victims like this child and the ones who love her 'too much'. The worst possible insult to us all is that we have paid and must continue to pay these people who tear apart individual lives, families, and the fabric of our nation - and never have to answer to us at all.

I think our 2nd Amendment is well on it's way to being thrown out. Along with the rest of the Bill of Rights.

that the child should not be allowed to stay any more because the child would no longer relate to the mother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly this is not uncommon. Kids in foster care are often moved from one home to another to prevent them from becoming attached. The end result is, of course, that the kids are emotional wrecks.

I have never understood this worship of biological parents. They can abuse their children so horribly that they end up in jail but they do not lose their parental rights and as soon as they get out the kids are plunked back in their arms. Never mind that they shouldn’t have custody of a silk potted plant or that the kids hasn’t seen them for years.

Please note that the complaint is that the child is bonding with the non-parental custodians...

Is Nuke 'em Glowing advocating permanently removing the child from the birth mother? THAT would be novel...

Link e-mailed to Bill O. I encourage every one else to do the same. This needs to be exposed.

I think silk plants have more rights than children. This is absurd. There has to be a line drawn somewhere and sadly as long as the socialists are running the show, it will not change.

Do not forget that the GOP shares some of the blame. They have don NOTHING to stop things like this.

Ahh, the old liberal ploy, putting words into my mouth. No, I never said that. I also do not advocate treating children like a Poodle that escapes it's owner either. You're putting words into my mouth that are not inferred at all in anything I stated. When and if the mother is capable of functioning in society again, then they should consider giving the child back to her.

So let's turn your question back on you:

Is Poohbah advocating treating children like a house plant to be moved from house to house until they get just enough food and light to grow?

Good. I've emailed the story to Savage also. He loves to explode on the idiots down here in Florida.

I agree. The GOP would rather hide the problem and hope it goes away. The demorats see it as an opportunity to raise a perfect little Marxist. I would advocate getting more churches involved but then we have to worry about perverts. Sounds to me like we're well on the way to copying the Chicom model of just making children slave labor for the state since we will not make the efforts needed to care for them.
