The only point made which has any validity is the drop out rate.

Which was significant, and therefore might invalidate the success rate, since as he points out, those for which it was not working have self-selected themselves out of the final tally due to their frustration and lack of success.

That's a serious question in the study.

On the drop out rate...
How does the Low-Carb drop out rate compare to the High-carb low fat drop out rate? I'd hazzard to guess that the low carb drop out rate would be lower.

I've lost over 20 lbs. doing low-carb.
