I can't remember the name of the Rat who had Eastin's job about 10 years ago. He and his wife had some book racket going for them that was so bad even some rat teachers turned them in.
He resigned, paid a small fine and bought a vineyard and winery with what they made from him approving the books deals his wife was associated with.
The maggot infested fishwraps barely carried anything about this entire mess. If they did the story was sanitized so that it appeared the whistleblowers were the evil people.

Don't forget that Dianne Feinstein's husband is knee-deep in the California textbook industry.....of course, his wife being a Senator would have no bearing on the likelihood of the state actually buying his books, don'tcha know.
