...the film's high-tech battles that will have their jaws dropping to the floor. Another review stating that our jaws will drop.

Big cat! You haven't read the trilogy?
Oh, several times over the past 30 years. I got The Silmarillion 1st Edition reserved months before it was released.
LOTR is one of the greatest things I've ever read or experienced. But not everyone's going to have read it before seeing the movie, and I try to be discreet in not spoiling anyone's experience by blabbing out of turn. I realize that wasn't the intent here, but spoiler warnings serve a good purpose.

Will do, if it ever comes up, jerk.

i was looking forward to seeing this one, til i saw jackson and the principal actors on charlie rose two nights ago, where they compared bush to sauron and stated that we'd done nothing but bomb innocent civilians in the war on terror

If you go to WB's website
HERE for the episode, you will see under feedback people pleading to see it again; so watch the WB website for when they will re-air it.

I bet your great at parties. Maybe you have sleep apnea.

Do differing opinions always get you so incensed, or are you just having a bad day? God bless and forgive.
To: dwills
One actor did that, not all of them, and who cares what he thinks? - There was fine work done on this set of films by many many people. I pay for their acting, not their opinions on world affairs. He has a right to differ.
To: dwills
They did not write the script for LOTR. Separate them. If it offends to pay to see it, then follow your conscience.
To: NYer
I already anticipate that once the third and final installment is released, many of us will go into LOTR withdrawal. That happened to me years ago, when I finished reading the trilogy. There's word that Jackson may be considering going ahead and doing "The Hobbit" afterwards.
Keep your hopes up.

I've already bought my tickets for the noon showing on the 18th (took the day off)!!! I'm so excited! And you will of course not pass "Go" after the film, but make your way directly to a computer to FR and post your review, won't you? So those of us who must wait, in my case months till it comes on PayPerView, will at least be able to vicariously enjoy it with you. :)

I bet your great at parties. Maybe you have sleep apnea. Perhaps so. Jerry Lewis movies also put me to sleep and 50 million Frenchmen think I'm nuts. ;-}

You wonder who will come of this as the "Mark Hammil", and never really work again Hey now, Mark Hammil had big roles in "Corvette Summer", "Skatetown, U.S.A.", and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back"...
But seriously, although you haven't seen his face in a lot of movies, he has a *huge* career as a voice actor. Check out his IMDB filmography. He has had roles in over 103 film and TV projects, including scores of animated series, specials, movies, and video games as a voice actor.
What's interesting is that in comparison Harrison Ford has had roles in only 74 projects, although many have been admittedly more high-profile than Hamill's.

Yeah, Mark Hamill does a great Joker on the various Batman cartoons as well as Justice League (Where he also played Solomon Grundy. Something I wouldn't have been able to tell without looking at the cast list, the voices being so distinct from each other). He also did the voice of the Joker in the live-action pilot of Birds of Prey.

Personally, I never gave Lewis a chance to put me to sleep! And *I* think 50 million Frenchmen are nuts!
