The Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office will begin investigating about a dozen people accused of voting twice in the November election.

Elections Supervisor Theresa LePore is expected to send the State Attorney's Office today evidence of double-voting. LePore would not release the voters' names but said they were of various ages and hometowns.

Those voters, including a Palm Beach Post reporter on assignment, face up to five years in prison or a $5,000 fine if convicted. Each had cast an absentee ballot, but also went to their precinct to vote on Election Day, LePore said.

LOL! I'm still wondering how it is that LePew still has a job. Oh yeah, she's a lib/dem - where incompetence is job #1.

This is just pure racial profiling!! Let a Haitian or Jamaican try to earn a few extra bucks by casting votes for democrat candidates in different precincts and the Republicans make a big deal over it. Where is Reno when you need her?

State Attorney's Office will begin investigating about a dozen people...

Yawn... Oh boy, they uncovered a whopping dozen people! When I read about the hundreds/thousands caught, then I'll get excited. Claiming that a few like this were caught marginalizes the problem (i.e. the problem is isolated to a few nut cases), when in fact voter fraud is widespread--covering the entire democratic party.

Voters accused of double-voting attempt

By Tim O'Meilia, Palm Beach Post Staff Writer

( snip )

The voters had sent in absentee ballots, then voted provisional ballots at the polls Tuesday, claiming they had not voted earlier, LePore said. "They sign an oath on the provisional ballot, swearing they have not yet cast a vote," LePore said. "And they aren't all old people either."

LePore has said she might also refer Palm Beach Post reporter Lou Salome's name to the State Attorney's Office for possible criminal charges regarding attempted double-voting, a third-degree felony that carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

Salome did not sign or fill out a provisional ballot. Instead, he signed a voter roll list to get a card for electronic voting after he already had voted absentee to verify the county's procedures for stopping someone from voting twice. He notified precinct officials of the flaw in the system and returned the card without attempting to vote on the touch-screen machine
