One of the only good things that Maureen Dowd ever said was her comment on the famous picture of Osama squatting on a pile of rocks: it was like waking up to find ourselves at war with Fred Flintstone. Or the Sand People. Here we are in year 2002, and even tho we're not quite living the Space Odyssey like Arthur Clarke envisioned in 2001, it's unbelievable that a group like this (Muslims, Islams, Taliban) have survived for this long and think they can take US on and win.
