Do not mistake my economic negativism for negativism on other levels of life; but also reduce your levels of debt, don't mortgage your home to the max, stay out of the stock market, and be prepared to live more on the frugal side. Lawgirl should sell her house sooner rather than later -- even if the price is less than she wanted, then be slow to repurchase.
Many of you folks living in flyover country already live thus. Some of us folks living in boom towns like Silicon Valley will have some adjusting to do.
And plan on enjoying the spectacle of watching the DemoRats trying to figure out why they lost bigtime, again, even with a depressed economy.
Youngins like azGOPgal will have some fine stories to tell their grandkids.
At least that's how I see it. But I'm an odd duck ... er eh snake ... er eh cow ... er eh bull ... whatever.
Pay no mind, Mike, that my forecast is different than yours. You can rest assured that the future is paying very little attention to what I think. It will do its thing anyway.
