People won't be so impressed with the little bugger if it's carrying rabies, Bubonic plague, and a few other nasty diseases and bits some nitwit enviro-wacko trying to feed it.

So the very idea of wildlife makes you afraid of rabies and plagues? - Get out of the city much? Relax... its a cute white squirrel. People can feed it a nut or two or think it gives them good luck without being wackos. I think it is a bit more crazy to immediately think of killing anything that moves.

Rodents around cities have a high probability of carrying dangerous deseases like rabies and Bubonic plague.

I don't fear wildlife, but I do give it the respect it deserves. I prudently stear clear of species likely to carry deseases and ones large enough or mean enough to consider me a snack. :) There is a reason they call it "wild"life. If you want a pet, go to the pet store a buy a gerbil. Leave the wild rodents to gather their nuts and dodge snakes and birds of prey.
