I don't see anybody "warmongering."

What about my father who volunteered in '65, knowing he wasn't going to college, hoping to get a quicker tour of duty, but was rejected because of a foot long metal plate holding his shin together. I guess he's a chickenhawk, too. And my brother served 4 years in the USAF, all of them at Dover. That's probably not good enough, either.
Fill me in, because I'm not up to date.
And you speak for your self-alone. This former Marine doesnt give a rat's a** weather he served or not. What I DO care about is weather someone supports the PROPER use of the military in the defense of this nation and its interests. Rush does.
You just summed up my whole worldview on this Iraq debate. Whenever I hear someone going on about this like they're gearing up for the big game, I get ill. The peaceniks make me just as ill.
What brought it all home for me was the salesman who sold me my truck the other day. He retired from the marines after 20 years and now they're calling him back. I'm not very emotional, but talking to this guy got to me. That sinking feeling you get when you're forced into to a war zone was written all over his face. He talked about his little girl.
I truly believe that if everyone on earth participated in a war first hand (note: first hand is not sitting your fat ass on your recliner and watching CNN) there would be no more wars.
