"You know, Viggo may not realize it, but that oil is of no value to "evil corporations" except that there is demand for it from ordinary citizens like himself. The corporate need for oil is nothing more than a reflection of the real need, which comes from ourselves."

Excellent point...and the US oil companies have not only made the lifestyle Veggo enjoys possible, they have done it more efficiently than any other nation could have, keeping the cost far below what it could be.

The Democratic Socialists are always ranting about the evil "Big Business", but not only does supply and demand apply across the board for products in the way you describe, but who else but huge corporations can possibly meet the increasingly outrageous demands placed of their beloved labor unions, and still manage to remain in business???

If they get rid of business, I don't know where socialists think they will get the wealth from that they want to "redistribute." Socialism is really a parasite that feeds on capitalism.

I have a leftist friend that says he hates corporations. Meanwhile the guy is a car nut, he loves cars...don't know exactly where he thinks cars come from.

Corporations do bad stuff sometimes, but can you imagine America without them?
