"Christianity has been awfully "tolerant" too, engaging in inquisitions, holocausts, African slavery, genocide of nearly the entire indigenous population of the Western hemisphere - all within the last five centuries."Then the author of this statement fails to acknowledge that the only African slavery still continuing are in Moslem countries of Africa.

Christianity (Islam) has been awfully "tolerant" too, engaging in inquisitions, holocausts, African slavery, genocide of nearly the entire indigenous population of the Western hemisphere (Middle East/ Eastern Europe) - all within the last five centuries (1200 years) This guy missed some of his history lessons. Just substitute a couple of words and you have the pot calling the kettle black.

Yea, Christianity, if anything, was part of the impetus to wipe out such cultural practices. Whereas in Islam such practices thrive.

And that throughout history, Arabs have been involved in the African slave trade. You can also tell them that Mohammed owned slaves.
Suadi Arabia didn't get around to officially banning slavery until the 1960's.
