...enemy of the Grays.

I know you said you didn't want to be more specific but by 'Grays' do you mean aliens?

You know...with X-Files' Smoking Man, there is a sort of sympathetic quality to him...even though he's involved in sinister plots, the viewer gets the sense that it is for a greater good. There is one episode in particular that comes to mind, it was Christmas and the Smoking Man was attempting to write a novel and they portrayed him in this sort of lonely state, that focused a bit on his own personal sacrifices.

But with this Crawford character, after marrying his wife to advance his position and then murdering her after he drove her essentially crazy...there is no sense of greater good...for him, it's not even about the Cold War, it's all for power and job security and the viewer will never forgive him or sympathize with him...he's just all evil, no redeeming qualities.

Best Regards,

I assume there might be more than one race of aliens. Just a habit. I'm always speculating about where a story is going. There are, of course, countless fictional versions of this story.

Scoop, I remember at the very beginning of the show, when Crawfold entered the space ship. I think he was taken over by the aliens then. OR one of them actually shaped itself to his identity. It's "freaky" how he tells all the women "you are the sun and the moon to me"..gag.

Which would lead me to the big question about his "sons"? Do they have special powers too?

Way too many commercials, and I'm only sticking with it because I like sci-fi.
